Now the patient needs to swallow the capsule. With markings on the tummy area, your doctor will adjust different sensors on the abdomen and then a belt containing a data recorder is placed on the waist of the patient. 

The sensors are then connected to the data recorder by putting the sensor protrusions in the matching grooves of the data recorder. Now the capsule endoscopy is in process. The doctors can download the data by removing the apparatus after 8 hours.

What Happens After the Capsule Insertion?

After the 4 hours of process, the capsule can be collected. For this, the patient needs to look up for it while pooping. Then the patient will give the device back to the doctor.
